Purchasing Manager positions are being established in all regions within SVITZER to increase focus on reducing costs and optimizing purchasing and logistics.
Work tasks include:
- Co-operation with Group Purchasing Manager regarding negotiation of supplier agreements.
- Developing and maintaining good co-operation with suppliers, technical staff and vessels.
- Implementation of standard electronic purchasing system “ePOS”.
- Usage of Group Suppliers with whom we have agreements.
- Securing purchase and delivery of goods in accordance with requisitions.
- Generating ideas for reducing costs by optimising purchasing and logistics procedures.
The Purchasing Manager needs to be open-minded and possess good negotiation skills, be able to structure her/his work, thus securing that the right product is delivered to the right vessel at the right time.
