NORSUL Up-date; Phase II: CARGO & DEBRIS REMOVAL
Published: 2008-08-15

After successfully having executed the salvage of the “Norsul Vitoria” and the “Norsul 12”, Svitzer Salvage has entered into the cargo and debris removal phase of the Norsul operation.

Up to date, our salvage team has lifted in total 73 cradles and 172 coils from the seabed.

Currently the barge Superpesa II is transporting the recovered cargo to the quay in Sao Francisco do Sul. Meanwhile the barge Superpesa X has left from site under tow heading for Rio with ETA 16th of August next. Svitzer’s aim is to finalise the Norsul project before the end of September 2008.
