Any floating object can at some stage be confronted with a calamity that may demand out-of-the-ordinary decisions and unconventional actions. In these situations SVITZER Salvage B.V. can be contacted 24 hours a day for the necessary assistance, whether for providing verbal or written advice or on-the-spot assistance with salvage master and team or even, as necessary, with the required special salvage equipment and salvage craft.

SVITZER Salvage B.V. has dealt with every floating object imaginable, loaded with every possible cargo (or combination of them) and in any condition, situation and circumstance possible.

Through our offices worldwide as well as the supporting offices of SVITZER Group, the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group or partners on-the-spot, assistance can be provided at a moment’s notice whereby handling of the situation is taken care of professionally.

It is important to understand that for normal ships’ crews these types of situations are extra-ordinary and thus (logically) fall outside their day-to-day working experience while for SVITZER Salvage crews these are their daily work.

The operational circumstances can involve anything from saving sinking ships, preventing ships from foundering (or running aground), refloating grounded vessels and resolving internal calamities (fires, leaks, technical problems, etc.).
